Breaking: JOHESU Strike indefinitely Over 720 sacked members, Others

The Akwa Ibom State chapter of Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU  commences statewide strike after servers warning were given to the State government without results. In a circular distributed in all health centers in the state, JOHESU asked the State government to recall 720 sacked council workers and health officials who were dismissed  from service last year. They also asked 80% CONHESS payment insisting that no alert, no work. And requested 50% hazard allowance for all the health workers fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and ask the government to recruit more health workers because of the shortfall occasioned by death and retirement. President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has approved the suspension of the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu. And has appointed the EFCC Head of Operations, Mohammed Umar, as the acting chairman replacing Magu. President Muhammadu Buhari approved the immediate suspension of Ibrahim Magu as Ag. Chairman EFCC in order to allow for unhindered inquiry by the Presidential Investigation Panel under the Tribunals of Inquiry Act and other relevant laws.
