Breaking News; Anti-Igbo song goes viral as Nigerians, Reno Omokri react
Sahara Reporters in Nigeria has report that Anti-Igbo song was already in circulation in northern Nigeria.
Many Nigerians have reacted in various ways to this report and the song itself.
A source interpreted the song, who said he had listened to the song said:
"Yes the singers are useless people definitely paid rogues used to incite chaos. In summary they called igbos fools and wished unborn igbos miscarriage in their mothers womb! Lol.
"They said they want the break up to happen and mentioned how northern money was used to develop Nigeria before oil. No genocide incitement. I condemn the singers and sponsors of this song inits entirety."
Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri condemned the song and advise people on his Facebook page:
"Nigeria must not take the reported anti Igbo song circulating surreptitiously in parts of the country lightly!
"In 2008, Rwanda's most famous Musician, Simon Bikindi, was convicted for using his songs to ignite the Rwanda genocide by the International Criminal Court. I call on all Northern leaders to condemn this song!
"Those behind the song must be traced and immediately arrested, tried and punished severely. If we treat them like the Arewa Youths whose arrest was 'ordered' by Nasir El-Rufai, but never implemented by the Nigerian Police even as they continue to walk freely and grant interviews, we will be sending a very terribly wrong message that genocide can be condoned.
"Let me also urge the international community to intervene. What do Donald J. Trump, Theresa May and António Guterres think will happen to democracy in West Africa if Nigeria is destabilized?"
