President Buhari cancels FEC meeting receives report on SGF, DG NIA

The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council will not hold today, August 23.

The supposed meeting would have been the first to be presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari since his return from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom on Saturday, August 19.

Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity Adesina, said President Buhari will receive the probe report on allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke.

He says "FEC put off; president Buhari receives report on SGF, DG NIA"

"The meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will not hold today".

"President Muhammadu Buhari, will however, receive the report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke, headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, at 12 noon, in his office."

Osinbajo have been presiding over the FEC in the absence of the president.
