Trouble as Prof. UTOMI REPLY TO UDUAGHAN; A Councillor would have even done much better for our people than Uduaghan did then as Governor.

Image
I am pleased to hear the former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan respond to my comments on the poor state of finances in Delta State. To my mind, it is the direction of engagement that I hope will raise the quality of public discussions and move our democracy towards better serving the people. I therefore feel obligated to respond to the issues raised and to set the records straight for the benefit of the general public. While I agree with the former Governor that our conversations of today should focus more on the future than the past, we must recognize that the damage done to Delta State by the mismanagement of its finances and resources still plagues the state as we speak. Uduaghan's legacy is a sad reflection of this awful chapter of our history. My comments on optimal debt-to-revenue ratios is verifiable and those who have the ability to do the math are all over the place. It was a comment made to draw attention to and prevent the worsening of a problem that i

BREAKING: Sick President Buhari meets with APC governors and leaders in London

Image
Sick Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, July 23, received a delegation of All Progressive Congress (APC) governors and Leaders at the Abuja House, in London. However, no video of Mr. Buhari was provided, only a still photo from Presidental photographers. In a telephone conversation with the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha said the president was very cheerful and has not lost any bit of his sense of humour. Governor Okorocha said the party delegation spent more than an hour with President Buhari over lunch, and it was very clear from the discussions that he followed developments at home very closely. When asked to react to all the negative things being said about him, the president just laughed, describing such negative reports as lies. Governor Okorocha said President Buhari was completely unperturbed by the cocktail of lies, adding that he sent his best wishes to Nigerians. According to Okorocha Nigerians don’t have to worry at all, adding that President Buhar

PRESIDENT BUHARI, THE SONS OF SHIMMEI AND THE DETERIORATING MIND OF FEMI ADESINA - FFK

Image
I am convinced that President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, has now finally lost his mind. In his latest essay, titled “The Sons of Shimmei”, he compared Buhari to the biblical King David, the greatest King that ever ruled Israel. One is constrained to ask the following question: what on earth is Davidic about Buhari? King David was a Spirit-filled believer and a heroic and courageous child of God whilst Buhari is a son of perdition and a tyrannical servant of satan. In what can only be described as a chilling and irresponsible manner Femi also said that Buhari could have “cut off the heads” of his opponents, meaning he could have had them assasinated. Gosh. Jumping Jehoshaphat! What has happened to my old friend? Poor old Femi. He has just made a cardinal spiritual blunder the consequences of which I have no doubt that he will deeply regret. In this game you must never threaten your opponent with death because once invoked the Angel of Death usually returns

Fani-Kayode blows hot, accuses Buhari, Aregbesola of being curses to Nigeria

Image
Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has described President Muhammadu Buhari and Aregbesola as the greatest curse to Nigeria. This is coming in reaction to the statement made by presidential spokesman Femi Adesina on the state of health of the president " The greatest curse that has ever afflicted Nigeria is the absentee and sickly Buhari. The 2nd greatest curse is Aregbesola in Osun." "President Buhari has been indisposed since the beginning of the year. It is human, and presidents, despite their elevated status, remain human." "If there is anybody who considers himself 100 percent healthy, or who bears what William Shakespeare calls "a charmed life," let that person stand up to be identified. "All mortals are doomed to sickness, they can recover, and they can die. That is the truth that has been internalized by millions of people praying for the recovery of our President."

APC’s C’tee an ingenious attempt to deceive, sweep restructuring under the carpet, Delay is dangerous – Fayose

Image
Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has called on Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress’s committee on restructuring, describing it as dead on arrival and a ruse. In a statement released on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, “It is a blatant attempt to draw the wool over the eyes of Nigerians”, he added. Fayose, who is also the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, said the APC committee on restructuring is unnecessary since the jury is already in that Nigerians in their large numbers, cutting across party, regional, ethnic, social, and religious backgrounds have overwhelming voted for immediate restructuring of the polity. “This APC distraction is meant to deceive Nigerians one more time. Nigerians must unequivocally reject it. They have deceived us enough and we must not allow them deceive us again. “APC and its government at the centre have failed on all fronts and have not delivered on their promises to the electorate. They have lived in denial a
