We can not give you restructuring on our own - Presidency

The Presidency has advised proponents of restructuring to exercise restraint in their choice of words, saying issues are resolved through “established processes, not by abuses, insults or irresponsible statements’’. Malam Garba Shehu, the senior special assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, gave the advice in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday. Shehu was reacting to opinions expressed by Nigerians for and against President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech on Monday on his return from a medical vacation. He said democratic system is not like military government where decision are taken by the president. “Changes don’t happen on a whim in a democracy. Military moves in to tackle fake news/ hate speech agent on social media

The Nigerian military has begun monitoring social media, to identify agent, of fake news, anti-government and anti-security activities in the country as directed by the president. Major-General John Enenche, Director of Defence Information, during an interview session on Channels Television’s News at 10. England's all-time leading goalscorer Wayne Rooney has retired from international football after turning down the chance to be part of the squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers. The Everton striker was asked by England boss Gareth Southgate to be involved against Malta and Slovakia. The former Manchester United captain scored 53 times in 119 internationals. The 31-year-old's career was a mixture of highs and lows after he truly burst on the global scene as a teenager at Euro 2004, and Rooney will forever be associated with an outstanding group of club players who could not replicate their domestic and European success at international level. 11 beheaded in attack at checkpoint

At least 11 people were beheaded Wednesday after an attack on a checkpoint controlled by Libyan military strongman Khalifa Haftar south of Tripoli, a spokesman for his forces said. “At least nine soldiers were beheaded… in addition to two civilians” at the checkpoint about 500 kilometres (300 miles) south of Tripoli, Colonel Ahmad al-Mesmari said, blaming the Islamic State jihadist group for the gruesome attack. Libya was under foreign rule for centuries until it gained independence in 1951. Soon after oil was discovered and earned the country immense wealth. Col Gaddafi seized power in 1969 and ruled for four decades until he was toppled in 2011 following an armed rebellion assisted by Western military intervention. In recent years the country has been a key springboard for migrants heading for Europe. Concerns have also been raised over the rise of Islamist militancy which have lead to death of thousands.

And talk about yesterday when he fled from his rat-infested office and today cancelation of the weekly FEC meeting and insist that Baba should resign.
